natural world. It is an offering of spiritual wisdom and cultural celebration through stories that
have endured the test of time.

Luisah Teish is a Bay Area treasure with a global reputation. She is a writer (Jambalaya,
Carnival of the Spirit), and performer of African and African diaspora sacred myth and folklore.
Over a span of forty years, Teish has officiated over spiritual retreats, rituals and workshops.
She represents the African diaspora as a member of the Mother Earth Delegation of Indigenous
Nations.
